THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
September 17, 1969
Dear Bob:
Thanks so very much for sending me the clipping from the Salina Journal relating the story of "This Is Your Life."
I had heard about the dinner and thought at the time how very heartwarming it was to see the outpoor of affection and respect on behalf of the citizens of Kansas for you.
Your recommending Doctor Kelikian as a member of the Presidential Task Force on the Handicapped certainly seems a most appropriate one. You know I will be glad to assist you in this instance in any manner possible. Summing up, it is quite obvious the citizens of Kansas think everything of you and, they, along with a lot of the rest of us, know you are going to be around for a long time.
With warm regards.
Sincerely,
(handwritten signature) Dale
