Attention: Dr. Alexander Vachon

Dear Bob:
Our mutual friend, Jim Oesterreicher, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the J.C. Penney Co., has asked about the possibility of holding our annual luncheon on June 8 this year. Of course, we are hoping that you will continue your long relationship with this program by sponsoring it on Capitol Hill. As you know, the J.C. Penney Co. plans to have a good representation from their corporate officers at the luncheon. The June 8 date works the best for them.

I would appreciate it if you would let me know if this is agreeable. The program is growing, so we would need a room for 100 to 150 people.

With many thanks, Bob,

Sincerely,
Alan A. Reich
President

The Honorable Robert Dole

Attention: Alexander Vachon

Dear Senator Dole:
Congratulations on your resumption of the Majority Leadership of the Senate. We appreciate your ongoing support and dedication to people with disabilities. As in the past, we pledge our support and hope to continue to work with you in the future on behalf of people with disabilities and their families.

The National Parent Network on Disabilities (NPND) was established to provide a presence and national voice for parents of children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We promote and support the power of families and consumers to influence and affect policy issues concerning the needs of people with disabilities and their families.

Within this vein, NPND wishes to have their Second Annual Legislative Reception on the evening of March 13, 1995. Once again, we would appreciate your sponsorship of this event. Our request is that you reserve a reception room for this occasion to be held in conjunction with the annual Technical Assistance For Parent Programs (TAPP) conference.

There were approximately 500 participants at last year's reception. This year, we estimate 400 participants.

We anxiously await your response and thank you in advance for your help in making this absolutely necessary event possible.

Sincerely,
Patricia McGill Smith
