MEMORANDUM FOR THE LEADER

SUBJECT: IDEAS: 1992 BREAKFAST

Attached is a one-pager I gave to Sheila prior to your meeting with Senator Specter today.

Also, we had the NRSC compile the female GOP Senate candidates over the last decade, and John has pulled together a listing of women running for the United States Senate from both parties in 1992. Clarkson and Walt are working on a statement about the media's touting of democrat women nominees with no equal treatment of the Republican women who have won over the years.

Norm Cummings, Chief of Staff at the RNC, is trying to come up with some creative ways we can coordinate with the Committee on a central message about the media hype of the democrat liberal women. He's having some folks do demographic comparisons of why the women were elected (not because they were women -- because they were not already in office, part of the system, etc.)

I will have information on hand on the latest information in the major Senate races as well as the Pennsylvania results in the event anyone asks.
