Summary -- This will be the luncheon following the Reagan Center Dedication. In attendance at the luncheon will be President Reagan, members of the Reagan Cabinet, MRSC Chairman's Foundation Corporate Donors and members of the Senatorial Trust and Presidential Roundtable.
Talking Points
1. Talk about the ceremony and how it's an historic moment for the Republican Party.
2. Acknowledge President Reagan. Nobody is more deserving of this honor etc. Talk about the achievements of the Reagan Administration and how his political agenda will be with us into the next century.
3. Acknowledge the donors and the various donor groups in the room i.e.; "all those present were responsible for getting us to this point (by electing the Senate Majority that worked with Reagan) and hold the influence and the wherewithal to recreate the historic achievements that began in 1980 (by electing the Senate Majority to work with President Bush in 1990).
4. Mention the significance of a Republican Senate Majority.
5. Tie the Reagan Administration's policies toward the Eastern Bloc with the appearance of Lech Walesa before the Congress and the events in East Germany.
6. Talk about Senator Dole's visit to Poland earlier this year, the historic opportunity presented to us and preview any action Congress will be taking with regard to Eastern Europe.
7. Wrap it up by talking about the continued participation of the people in the room in the political process.

1:19 p.m. Off-stage announcement introduces President and Mrs. Reagan accompanied by Senator and Mrs. Don Nickles. They proceed to the headtable and are seated.
1:20 p.m. Senator Nickles moves to the podium and gives short welcome, introduces headtable guests and introduces Secretary of Commerce Robert Mosbacher.
1:22 p.m. Secretary Mosbacher gives welcoming remarks.
1:24 p.m. Senator Nickles returns to the podium and introduces Rabbi Milton Balkany to deliver the invocation.
1:24 p.m. Rabbi Balkany delivers invocation.
