DOLE FOR VEEP? Dole intimately says to their surprise the Kansan "really wants" to be Bush's running mate. Dole cites polls showing he would help the ticket. His wife even plans a tea for Mrs. Bush. But Dole says he doesn't want to be a hatchet man. Despite resentment of his criticisms, some Bush advisers admit Dole might be needed.
