o Murkowski very concerned timing is wrong - likely to be defeated

Nothing settled at this mornings conference. Scheduled to meet again at 1:00 p.m. House reviewing Senate offer.
o Hang tough on 2 key issues: (handwritten) Baker res - we ought to hang tough i s bill (end handwritten)
- mass transit
- house demonstration projects
(checked) o Need to follow up with Stafford, Chafee, Burdick to insure their support
