Thanks for getting back in touch, and filling me in on some of the arrangements for October 8. We are working on behalf of the Liberal Democratic Party and a number of their arrangements here in Washington.
Let me give you the details I have thus far. Their delegation arrives on the west coast the week-end of October 5-6, and should be in New York City on October 6. On Monday morning, October 7, they arrive in Washington and will be at the Japanese Embassy throughout the day. After their visits and appointments on Capitol Hill, Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9 they will visit with representatives of the Administration on Thursday, October 10. I understand they are working with Gaston Sigur on the National Security Council staff.
For your information, I have attached the biographical background on the 9 principal members of the LDP delegation, and a page that gives their chief interests or areas of responsibility. I hope that will be helpful to you in arranging the appointments throughout the day.
Please call if you need anything else immediately -- I will appreciate staying in touch over the next several days and knowing how things fall into place.
