Designating April 24, 1990, as "National Day of Remembrance of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923".

2 of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

1 That April 24, 1990, is designated as "National Day of Re-
2 membrance of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the Armeni-
3 an Genocide of 1915-1923", and the President is authorized
4 and requested to issue a proclamation calling upon the people
5 of the United States to observe this date as a day of remem-
6 brance for the 1,500,000 people of Armenian ancestry who
7 were victims of the genocide perpetrated by the governments
8 of the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923, prior to the es-
9 tablishment of the Republic of Turkey, and in their memory
10 this date is commemorated by all Armenians and their friends
11 throughout the world.
