ATTIRE FOR SECRETARY DOLE FOR KANSAS VISIT, September 14, 15, and 16, 1984
FRIDAY September 14
7:30 p.m. COOKOUT in Russell for Marj Dusay's Celebrity golf tournament. Casual dress or skirt and blouse - not a formal event
SATURDAY September 15
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PUBLIC MEETING IN GOODLAND - Secretary should probably start out Saturday morning in something cool and again it can be a casual dress or skirt and blouse. She will probably not have an opportunity to change her clothes until after she attends the fair and it will probably be very warm at the fair. The weather in Kansas sometimes changes rather abruptly, so it Would be a good idea if she wore something Saturday that had a jacket she could use if she needed It
1:00 p.m. to 45 p.m. PAIR - Sama attire
6:30 р.m. to 10:00 p.m. RECEPTION AND DINNER IN WICHITA - This is not a formal event, but a cocktail dress Would be appropriate.
SUNDAY September 16 Church attire - here again, she may want to wear something that has a jacket she can remove for the barbeque and dedication ceremony in Arkansas City.
1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. DEDICATION OF ROBERT B. DOCKING MEMORIAL HIGHWAY - Arkansas City - the same thing she wears to church.
SPEECHES
The only event that Secretary Dole has been asked to speak for is the Dedication of the Robert 8. Docking Memorial Highway. Someone in her office has talked with Cathy Wasinger in Lt. Governor Tom Docking's office about this.
I'm sure she will be introduced at most of the other events and may make remarks if she chooses. However, she would not need a prepared speech.
