Dear Mr. Dole,
I am a housewife and the Mother of 2 girls and 1 boy, and as such I am very much opposed to the, So Called, "Equal Rights Amendment". I don't want to be forced out of my home and away from my family. My husband and I want to raise our children the way we feel God wants us to, not let someone else do it just any old way. God created me as a woman and I would like to be treated as a woman, I don't want to be treated as a man.
In the Bible, God tells us what the woman's role should be.. He created woman to be a helpmate and companion for man, not a sex object or a doormat. He also gave us the Ten Commandments to live by. I believe that the equal rights amendment, women's liberation, and liberalized abortion are directly against God's Word.
Also, don't you think it is bad enough that parents have to give up their sons for this country, do we also have to start giving up our daughters to the service?
What about no more private public restrooms? Men, women, boys, and girls use the same restroom at the same time. That is ridiculous to say the least! What about privacy and morality? Have these gone out the window?
The Mann Act will be ABOLISHED!? Sexual offences will not be punished by law!? And Kansas ratified this? What kind of men voted for this? The only 2 representative women voted "NO" on this ridiculous amendment.
I run also against abortion except in extenuating circumstances, such as, German measles in the first 3 months of pregnancy, incest, or when tests of the ambiotic fluid show that the child will be retarded or deformed. Liberalized abortion is against all decent things! It is MURDER!
I have talked to many people, men and women, so far I have not been able to find even one person that is for women's liberation or liberalized abortion.
What about you? Where do you stand on these issues? I'm sure many people would like to know, especially with elections coming up. Thank you.
Linda Rickman
