(Page 1) {redacted} {redacted} SHAWNEE MISSION, KANSAS 66208 January 22, 1974 The Honorable Robert Dole United States Senate 3227 New Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510 Dear Bob: As an indignant citizen who has long been interested in patriotic organizations, currently National Trustee of the Sons of the American Revolution, I call your attention to the attached editorial from U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT. That such a thing could occur in the U.S.A is most reprehensible, but -- in our nation's capital -- that's about the last straw! I am specifically asking that you take the floor, so it will go into CONGRESSIONAL RECORD, denouncing the act and demanding the blotting out of such a mural. Further, I hope you will determine the guilty party, or parties, and see to it that some heads roll. How in the world can citizens the land over drum up enthusiasm for the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission when things like this are permitted in Washington? Thanks and with best personal regards. Sincerely yours, {redacted} CYT:hss Enclosure (stamp) SENATOR BOB DOLE RECEIVED WASHINGTON, D.C. 20510 JAN 20 1974
