CART -- (Citizens Against Regressive Taxation) -- Tom Donahue (American Truckers) is putting together a group for us. The breakfast is set for Thursday, March 18th. 2. Conservative Columnists/Reporters -- List attached of 20 possible attendees. You have time on both Wednesday and Thursday of next week. If you indicate who you want to attend we'll go ahead and set up. Thursday march 11th We could also include some members of the Tax Executives Institute and the American Business Conference. Yes :selected: AM No 3. Business Roundtable -- I have contacted John Snow, CEO of CSX, who is co-chair of their Budget Task Force. They are putting a list together of suggested attendees. Yes No 4. Small Business -- This breakfast might include representatives of NFIB, the Chamber, the Farm Bureau, as well as some individual small businesses with particular concerns . Yes No 5. Energy Interests -- Participants would focus specifically on concerns with the energy tax proposal. Obviously, such a meeting would include Senator Wallop and others with a particular interest in this issue. Yes No march 10th 6. The Capital Forum -- (list attached) wed AM Group of 40 women who head major corporate offices and trade associations here in Washington. This group would obviously be made up of a variety of individual interests but a meeting could show your interest in reaching out to women's groups as well as the traditional male oriented groups. As these women also control a number of PACs, it might be a great place to put in a good word for Kay Bailey Hutchinson. We will be doing more outside groups in the future. I will let you know as soon as I can when they are scheduled. If you find that your Senator will not be able to attend, please let me know as soon as you can so we can invite another Republican Senator.
