Acknowledge the donors and the various donor groups in the room i.e.; "all those present were responsible for getting us to this point (by electing the Senate Majority that worked with Reagan) and hold the influence and the wherewithal to recreate the historic achievements that began in 1980 (by electing the Senate Majority to work with President Bush in 1990). 4. Mention the significance of a Republican Senate Majority. 5. Tie the Reagan Administration's policies toward the Eastern Bloc with the appearance of Lech Walesa before the Congress and the events in East Germany. 6. Talk about Senator Dole's visit to Poland earlier this year, the historic opportunity presented to us and preview any action Congress will be taking with regard to Eastern Europe. 7.
