TRUDI MORRISON CALLED THIS AFTERNOON TO SAY THAT SHE HAS ARRANGED WITH SUGAR RAY LEONARD'S PEOPLE A TIME FOR A RECEPTION THAT YOU WOULD GIVE HIM THIS COMING WEEK. THE ONLY TIME OPEN FOR LEONARD IS THURSDAY FROM NOON TO 1:00 P.M. ACCORDING TO THE SCHEDULE I HAVE, THAT TIME IS OPEN.

TRUDI WANTS TO KNOW IF YOU WANT TO GO AHEAD WITH FINALIZING ARRANGEMENTS. IF YOU AGREE, WE WILL NEED TO ADVISE MEDIA, ANYONE YOU WANT TO INVITE, AND MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE RECEPTION.

Trudi Morrison called me last night to say that she had secured Sugar Ray Leonard for a reception in your office, from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.

Trudi will take care of inviting about 25 Black leaders, will take care of the security for Leonard (and his body-guards), but wants to know if there is anything further she needs to do -- e.g., who else might you want to invite.

I assume you wish to invite all Senators, and accordingly, will ask Joyce to plan for this in terms of making arrangements for catering with Senate Restaurant.
