The 13 regular appropriations bills for FY 1987 will also need to be considered. Gramm/Rudman requires that the House complete action on all appropriations bills by June 10. The SASC Task Force on Defense Reorganization met in closed session on Wednesday, January 29, to consider draft legislation. SASC's number one priority. While wishful thinking, it is SASC's hope to complete action on DOD Reorganization by the end of next week making it possible to take the bill to the floor the first March.
