(handwritten at top right: Alec) Memorandum Date: June 8, 1993 To: Sheila Burke From: Alec Vachon (initialed) Re: Meeting Request/ Am. Speech-Language-Hearing Association I received a telephone call from the American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association (ASLH) requesting a "five-minute meeting" to discuss Sec. 13475 "Coverage of Services of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists," in the Budget Reconciliation Act. ASLH certifies certain speech, language, and hearing professionals and training programs, provides some consumer services, and is an active member of the Consortium of Citizens with Disabilities. Mo dealt with them regularly. Because this request involved a Medicare matter, I thought I should check with you before proceeding. Options: (1) I meet with them, and memo you or otherwise handle this matter; (2) I meet with them together with you or Vicki; or (3) refer them to you. Please advise. Thanks. (handwritten: illegible, but option 1 has been circled)
